Official response from Taiwan EPA on how to calculate recycled plastic materials added to products

Under the amended notice “Recycling levy rate of collection, removal, and disposal of items”, which announced by the Taiwan Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) on April 27, 2023, “items containing 25% or more recycled plastic materials, and judged to meet relevant requirements through the examination by the central competent authority” are added to the list of items eligible for the green fee, which is a preferential recycling levy. Since the notice didn’t mention the specific calculation method for recycled plastic materials added to products, we (Enviliance) contacted the Taiwan EPA and received an official response from them.
