China issues revised list of standards used to specify couplers subject to China Compulsory Certification

On Oct. 9, 2022, China’s Certification and Accreditation Administration issued a revised list of standards used to specify couplers for household and similar uses (e.g., connectors and plugs that connect AC power chords and electrical equipment) that are subject to China Compulsory Certification (CCC).

 

This list has been updated as two standards called

    • GB/T 17465.1-2009 “Appliances couplers for household and similar general purposes - Part 1: General requirements” and
    • GB/T 17465.2-2009 “Appliance couplers for household and similar general purposes - Part 2: Interconnection couplers for household and similar equipment”

will be combined into one standard called

    • GB/T 17465.1-2022 “Appliances couplers for household and similar general purposes - Part 1: General requirements”

and implemented Feb. 1, 2023, along with a new standard called

    • GB/T 17465.6-2022 “Appliance couplers for household and similar general purposes—Part 3: Standard sheets and gauges”.
