China to call for information on the use and impot/export status of chemicals proposed for listing under the POPs Convention

On July 20,2022, the Ministry of Environment and Ecology of China released a “Notice on the public call for information of three persistent organic pollutants including Methoxychlor”, which are under discussion for addition to the list of substances subject to the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs Convention), and started to collect information on the domestic production, use, import/export, substitutes, alternative technologies of these 3 chemicals in China. The deadline for submitting information is August 20, 2022. Chemical substances subject to this call for information are Dechlorane Plus, UV-328, and Methoxychlor as follows.
