China releases draft for opinions on “List of Solid Waste Classification”

On June 23, 2022, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China released the draft for opinions on “List of Solid Waste Classification”. The deadline for submitting opinions is July 20, 2022. The List was made in accordance with the provisions of the “Law on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution by Solid Waste” to thoroughly implement solid waste management operations. In the List, the codes and names of solid waste are listed, at the same time, the definitions with respect to the application scope, waste type, industry of source, waste code and solid waste name are also described respectively.
