China releases List of green product assessment standards (2nd batch) 
In order to implement the requirement of “Opinions of General Office of the State Council on establishing a unified green product standard, certification and identification system” (GFB [2016] No 86) on “uniformly issuing the green product identification, standard list and certification catalogue, and carry out green product identifications in accordance with the standards listed in the standard list”. On December 21, 2020, the State Administration for Market Regulation released a list of green product assessment standards (2nd batch). The list of green product assessment standards (2nd batch) are as follows.

GB/T 37866-2019 “Green product assessment -Plastic products”
Released on August 30, 2019 Becomes effective from March 1, 2020
Scope of application
The standard stipulates the green assessment requirements and assessment methods for plastic products, and it is applied to all kinds of plastic products.
GB/T 39020-2020 “Green product assessment –Detergents”
Released on July 21, 2020 Becomes effective from February 1, 2021
Scope of application
The standard stipulates the green assessment requirements, criterion and rules. It is applied to the evaluation of green products in detergents such as soap, powder, solid, liquid detergents, and other detergents. It is not applied to dry cleaning detergent products with organic solvents as main components and industrial detergent for special applications.
GB/T 39084-2020 “Green product assessment -Packing for express service”
Released on June 21, 2020 Becomes effective from October 1, 2020
Scope of application
The standard stipulates product classification, assessment requirements, and assessment methods for green product evaluation of packaging for express service. This standard is applied to courier envelopes, boxes, electronic invoices, fillers, bags, tapes, container bags, hanging fixed packaging and reusable express packing products made from paper, plastic, fiber or a combination of multiple materials. It is also applied to the green product assessment of postal packaging products.
Reference information: On April 12, 2018, the State Administration for Market Regulation of China released the Green Product Assessment Standards List (1st batch).
