China adds seven chemicals to existing chemical substances inventory

On May 18, 2024, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of China announced the addition of seven new chemical substances to the Inventory of Existing Chemical Substances on its website. The seven chemical substances added this time are substances that have been confirmed manufactured in or imported to China before October 15, 2003, and meet with the requirements set out in the “Methods for environmental management and registration of new chemical substances” and the “Guidelines for environmental management and registration of new chemical substances”.
