China issues mandatory national standard that sets per-product energy consumption limits for tire, carbon black production

On April 29, 2024, China’s State Administration for Market Regulation and Standardization Administration published a mandatory national standard called the Norm of Energy Consumption per Unit Production of Tyre and Carbon Black (GB 29449-2024), which will come into effect May 1, 2025.

This standard will replace the Norm of Energy Consumption for per Unit Product of Tyre (GB 29449-2012) and the Norm of Energy Consumption per Unit Product for Carbon Black (GB 29440-2012).
