China’s Beijing releases technical guidelines on noise pollution control for fixed equipment

On June 30, 2023, the Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau of Beijing, China, published technical guidelines on noise pollution control for fixed equipment. These guidelines have been developed by the Institute of Urban Safety and Environmental Science, Beijing Academy of Science and Technology under the supervision of the Bureau to promote noise pollution control for fixed equipment used in business operations and offices.

The guidelines consist of five sections respectively titled “Laws, Regulations, Policies and Standards”, “Noise Control Principles”, “Specific Methods for Noise Control”, “Typical Noise Control Methods for Fixed Equipment” and “References”.
