China’s Beijing city announces program for new pollutant control

On May 16, 2023, China’s capital city Beijing announced a program for new pollutant control, which has been developed based on a circular on action plans for new pollutant control issued by the General Office of the State Council (announcement code: 国办发〔2022〕15号). This program sets out key duties of the city, including strict regulation of the concentrations of key controlled new pollutants¹ in products.
