China to implement QR code-based hazardous chemical management system in Pearl River, Yangtze deltas in 2023

On March 30, 2023, China’s National Registration Center for Chemicals held a public relations conference on chemical regulations in Qingdao city. In the conference, the country’s “One Company, One Product, One Code”¹ system — a system of QR codes for hazardous chemical safety information — was explained, and a plan for 2023 to implemented a hazardous chemical management scheme based on these QR codes was revealed.
