Vietnam promulgates roadmap for applying vehicle emission standards

On November 15, 2024, the Vietnamese government promulgated the Prime Minister's Decision No. 19/2024/QD-TTg on the Roadmap for Application of Emission Standards to Imported, Manufactured or Assembled Vehicles (hereinafter “the Decision”). The Decision covers two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles with internal combustion engines that are newly imported, manufactured, or assembled in Vietnam, including used imported vehicles.
