Singapore Bans New Diesel Registrations from 2025

On July 10, 2024, the Singapore Land Transport Authority (LTA) announced that it would ban new registrations of diesel engine passenger cars and taxis from January 1, 2025. The measure was announced by the Transport Minister at a Committee of Supply debate in 2021 to help achieve the Singapore Green Plan 2030 target of having all vehicles run on clean energy by 2040.
