Korea to regulate use of registered or declared chemical substances by subordinate users under K-REACH

On November 12, 2024, the Environment and Labor Committee of the National Assembly of South Korea announced new proposed amendments to the Act on Registration, Evaluation, etc. of Chemicals (hereinafter "K-REACH Act"). The proposed amendments prohibit "subordinate users" from using registered or declared chemical substances for any purpose other than those "are registered or declared for the chemical substances," and establish a penalty (fine) for violations.
