South Korea to add lead compounds, methylene chloride, and other chemicals to restricted/prohibited substances under K-REACH

On September 26, 2024, the Ministry of Environment (MOE) of South Korea published a draft amendment to the Designation of Restricted Substances and Prohibited Substances adding lead compounds and methylene chloride to the list of restricted substances as they are highly hazardous. It also changes the designation type of chrysotile (white asbestos) from restricted substance to prohibited one.
