South Korea Revises Notice to Strengthen Control of Automotive Paints with High VOC Content

On June 19, 2023, the National Institute of Environmental Research (NIER) functioning under the Ministry of Environment (MOE) of the South Korea revised the Notice on the Calculation Method of Volatile Organic Compounds in Paints and Rules for Labelling of Containers to strengthen the control of oil-based paints that emit large amounts of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and published the revised notice on the NIER’s website (nier.go.kr).
