Singapore’s draft amendment to Environmental Protection and Management Act 
On August 2, 2021, the Environmental Protection and Management (Amendment) Bill was introduced in Parliament of Singapore. This Amendment Bill mainly amends several sections of the Environmental Protection and Management Act (EPMA). A particularly significant change is the addition of Part 10A, which provides for the control of greenhouse gas (GHG). “GHG goods” defined as any device or appliance that require GHG and “GHG works” defined as any activity that use or handle GHG are regulated in the part. Entities subject to the regulation under this amendment bill will be required to register themselves with the authorities.
