Singapore Issues Orders Adding Chlorpyrifos to Environmental Protection Legislation 
On August 27, 2025, Singapore promulgated two legislative instruments amending the Environmental Protection and Management Act 1999 and the Environmental Protection and Management (Hazardous Substances) Regulations. These amendments introduce new regulated substances and revise existing exemptions. Both instruments will take effect on February 27, 2026:
- Environmental Protection and Management Act 1999 (Amendment of Second Schedule) (No. 5) Order 2025
- Environmental Protection and Management (Hazardous Substances) (Amendment No. 3) Regulations 2025
