Singapore postpones the date of ban on Dechlorane Plus and UV-328 to February 26, 2025

On May 6, 2024, the National Environment Agency (NEA) of Singapore announced by circular that, following the official notification by the Secretary-General of the United Nations on February 26, 2024 to the Parties of Stockholm Convention including Singapore, regarding the listing of Dechlorane Plus, Methoxychlor, and UV-328 in Annex A of the Convention, and in accordance with the Convention text, the effective date of the ban on the manufacture, import, and export of Dechlorane Plus, Methoxychlor, and UV-328, as well as products containing these chemicals, is postponed to February 26, 2025, one year after the notification.
