On January 12, 2024, the Singapore Environment Agency (NEA) published a proposal to introduce minimum energy efficiency standards (MEPS) and energy label regulations for water heaters and commercial storage refrigerators from April 1, 2025, and began soliciting opinions. If this proposal is adopted, water heaters and commercial storage refrigerators will be regulated under the Energy Conservation (Regulated Goods and Registered Suppliers) Regulations and will require product registration, MEPS compliance, and energy labeling. The deadline for submission of opinions is February 03, 2024.
