Singapore Amends Emission Standard for New Automobiles

Singapore’s Environmental Protection and Management (Vehicular Emissions) (Amendment No. 3) Regulations 2023 were promulgated on December 28, 2023, and came into effect on January 1, 2024. The regulations partially amend the Environmental Protection and Management (Vehicular Emissions) Regulations, which set standards for automobile emissions, noise, and fuel quality, and new automobile emission standards have been revised as a result of this amendment.
