Australian Parliament passes Safeguard Mechanism (Crediting) Amendment Bill

On March 30, 2023, both houses of the Australian Parliament passed the Safeguard Mechanism (Crediting) Amendment Bill 2023. According to the country’s Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, the revision of this law is a historic milestone that lays the main pillar of the reform of the Safeguard Mechanism.
