NSW, Australia Discusses Product Stewardship Bill

On March 18, 2025, the Product Lifecycle Responsibility Bill 2025 was introduced in the Parliament of New South Wales (NSW), Australia. The bill seeks to minimize the impact of various products on human health and the environment throughout their lifecycle. It imposes responsibility on entities supplying products to the market (brand owners) for designing, producing, using, reusing, recycling, disposing, and managing end-of-life products in accordance with circular economy principles.
