Taiwan revises standard for energy efficiency labeling, criteria of ductless air conditioners

On Dec. 21, 2022, Taiwan’s Bureau of Energy, Ministry of Economic Affairs, announced a revision of Taiwan’s standard for the energy efficiency labeling and criteria of ductless air conditioners. The revised standard will come into effect Jan. 1, 2025. Products that meet the criteria set out in the standard are allowed to use the energy efficiency label. The revised version has stricter energy efficiency criteria for air-cooled air conditioners than the current standard.
