Taiwan raises the MEPS for fluorescent lamps by revising the relevant regulations

On September 26, 2022, the Bureau of Energy, Ministry of Economic affairs of Taiwan officially announced the revised regulations of the MEPS (Minimum Energy Performance Standards) for various fluorescent lamp products. Fluorescent lamps, compact fluorescent lamps and fluorescent lamps with built-in ballasts are subject to these revised regulations. The revised regulations raise the standard values of luminous efficiency for all the regulated fluorescent lamp products. All of the regulations related to the above-mentioned products will come into force on July 1, 2024.
