Taiwan will bring forward the date of ban on the use of chlorpyrifos in environmental agents

On July 1, 2022, the Environmental Protection Administration of Taiwan issued a notice regarding partial amendments to the “Prohibited Ingredients Contained in Environmental Agents and Detection Methods”. In the amendment draft dated March 4, 2022, chlorpyrifos-methyl and chlorpyrifos were added in the “Prohibited ingredients for environmental agents” list. And in the amendment draft dated July 1, 2022, the date of ban on the manufacture, use and sale of chlorpyrifos was brought forward to August 1, 2022.
