On February 6, 2024, the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) of Singapore issued a circular urging holders of petroleum and flammable materials licenses, automotive repair workshops, and other interested persons to ensure the safe storage and handling of flammable substances. The circular comes in response to two incidents of fires caused by flammable vapors ignition at workplaces in March 2023 in the country, with the aim of preventing further such incidents.
