Malaysia Publishes Guidelines for Green Electricity Tariffs and Application for Renewable Energy Certificates

On April 29, 2022, the Malaysian Energy Commission (ST) released “Guidelines on Green Electricity Tariffs.” These guidelines define the roles and application methods of each stakeholder to implement the Green Electricity Tariff (GET) program which started in 2021. The GET program provides electricity from renewable energy sources and Malaysia Renewable Energy Certificates (mREC) to customers.
