Overview and operation status of Hakathari program for product energy efficiency labeling in Maldives

In the Maldives, the Hakathari Program for product energy efficiency labeling has been introduced under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Environment, Climate and Technology (MECCT) since September 2021. This program was created under the Strengthening Low Carbon Energy Island Strategies Project, which covers air conditioners, refrigerators and washing machines, and shows energy efficiency performance on a 5-star rating.
