The World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) issued a news release dated February 19, 2026, outlining nine common misconceptions that companies tend to hold when addressing “Just Transition.” Just Transition refers to the idea that, in shifting toward a decarbonized and otherwise sustainable society, companies must ensure that affected workers and communities are not left behind and that employment and rights are protected throughout the transition.
