South Korean mandates manufacturers/importers of EEE to submit material and structural improvement evaluation reports

On August 16, 2023, the South Korean government promulgated and enforced a partially amended version of the Act on Resource Circulation of Electrical and Electronic Equipment and Vehicles. The law requires manufacturers and importers of electrical and electronic products to comply with the material and structural guidelines set by the Minister of Environment and the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy for the purpose of promoting the recycling of electrical and electronic products.
