South Korea fixes mandatory recycling rates for products and packaging materials for 2023 and promulgates revised version

South Korea Ministry of Environment promulgated a revised version of the 2023 Mandatory Recycling Rates by Product and Packaging Material (Ministry of Environment Notification No. 2023-54) and announced that it will apply until December 31, 2023. The Act on the Promotion of Saving and Recycling of Resources, which is a superior law to this ordinance, provides for the extended producer responsibility (EPR) system.
