Singapore issues regulation amendment that requires corporate top executives to participate in workplace safety, health program

On February, 27, 2024, Singapore issued an amendment to the Workplace Safety and Health (General Provisions) Regulations, which came into effect March 1, 2024. The amendment adds two sections to the regulations. The new sections require top executives of businesses in high-risk sectors (construction, manufacturing, marine, and transport and storage) to participate in the Top Executive Workplace Safety and Health Programme (TEWP).
