Singapore announces findings on greenwashing in online sales

On November 16, 2023, the Competition & Consumer Commission Singapore (CCCS) released the results of a survey on greenwashing in online sales. The survey was conducted by CCCS to investigate such practices by awarding a grant to researchers at the Centre for Governance and Sustainability at the National University of Singapore Business School. Following the results of this survey, CCCS is developing guidelines to provide greater clarity to suppliers on environmental claims.
