Sri Lanka Bans Import of Products Containing 40 Specified HCFC Substances from June 2026

On May 7, 2026, Sri Lanka's Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development promulgated the Imports and Exports (Control) Regulations No. 04 of 2026. Under this regulation, the import of products containing any of the 40 specified hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) listed below will be prohibited with effect from June 6, 2026.
