Australia Delays Making the Decisions on the IChEMS Schedule for Three Fuel Additives, Including TTBP, Until After July 2027

On April 9, 2026, the Industrial Chemicals Environmental Management Section of the Australian Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) announced via an official email to stakeholders that the proposed decisions to add three fuel additives2,4,6-tri-tert-butylphenol (TTBP), butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA), and butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT)to the schedule of IChEMS will not be made during the current financial year. Since the Australian financial year runs from July 1 to June 30 of the following year, these decisions will not be made until July 1, 2027, or later.
