Malaysia Publishes Guidelines on Medical Surveillance Programme at Workplace

The Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) of Malaysia has released the "Guidelines on Medical Surveillance Programme at the Workplace 2023" in November 2023. Under the Occupational Safety and Health (Use and Standards of Exposure to Chemicals Hazardous to Health) Regulations 2000 (USECHH 2000), medical surveillance (MS) by occupational health doctors (OHD) must be conducted for employees who may have been exposed to chemicals hazardous to health (CHTH). As part of employers’ duties, these guidelines also detail how to conduct medical surveillance appropriate for each chemicals.
