Malaysia announces ESG framework for manufacturing, including small and medium-sized enterprises

On October 2, 2023, the Malaysian Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) announced the i-ESG Framework, a framework for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) for manufacturing. The “Push for Net Zero”, a mission set out in the 2030 New Industrial Master Plan (NIMP2030), includes the goal of accelerating the transition to sustainability in manufacturing.
