South Korea submits bill to partially amend the Framework Act on Carbon Neutrality and Green Growth

On February 27, 2026, South Korean National Assembly member Kim Wisang and 9 other lawmakers submitted a bill to partially amend the Framework Act on Carbon Neutrality and Green Growth for Coping with Climate Crisis. The key feature of the proposed amendment is to authorize the government to require companies whose GHG emissions meet a threshold specified by Presidential Decree
