South Korea proposes amendments to the Occupational Safety and Health Act

On February 25, 2026, the National Assembly of South Korea introduced a bill to amend the Occupational Safety and Health Act. The bill is intended to help prevent recurrences, particularly at workplaces where serious accidents have occurred, in light of the fact that fatal accidents at industrial sites have not sufficiently decreased even after the enforcement of the Serious Accident Punishment Act (hereinafter “SAPA”).
