South Korea to revise the scope of household chemical products subject to safety confirmation under K-BPR

On December 16, 2025, the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment (MCEE) of South Korea announced that it had prepared a draft amendment to the Designation and Safety and Labeling Standards for Consumer Chemical Products Subject to Safety Confirmation (hereinafter “draft amendment”), a subordinate regulation to the Consumer Chemical Products and Biocides Safety Act (hereinafter “K-BPR”).
