South Korea to Revise Energy Efficiency Standards for Three Home Appliances

On August 18, 2025, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) of South Korea issued a preliminary notice of a draft amendment to the Operational Regulation on Equipment for Efficiency Management, inviting public comments on the proposal. The purpose of the proposed amendment is to strengthen product-specific standards, expand the scope of regulated items, and improve the domestic efficiency management system to promote energy conservation.
