South Korea revised the Carbon Neutrality Act, adjusting the period of the Greenhouse Gas Target Management System

On March 6, 2025, South Korea’s Ministry of Environment (MOE) issued a preliminary notice for the re-legislation of a draft amendment to the Presidential Decree on the Framework Act on Carbon Neutrality and Green Growth for Coping with Climate Crisis, inviting public comments from that day until March 13, 2025. This draft revision was formulated in response to the amendment of the Framework Act on Carbon Neutrality made in October 2024.
