South Korea announced mandatory recycling rates by product and packaging material for 2025

On January 1, 2025, the Ministry of Environment of South Korea enacted and enforced Notice on the Mandatory Recycling Ratios by Product and Packaging Material of 2025. This Notice has been established pursuant to Article 17 of the Act on the Promotion of Saving and Recycling of Resources and Article 22 of its Presidential Decree. The Notice establishes mandatory recycling ratios for 5 types of packaging materials and 24 types of products.
