On June 30, 2023, the Ministry of Employment and Labor of South Korea announced that it would publish names, hazards, risks, and related precautions for workers of 71 new chemical substances that were manufactured or imported from April to June of 2023, according to the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA). Article 108 of the OSHA requires manufacturers and importers of new chemical substances to submit hazard and risk investigation reports to the Ministry of Employment no later than 30 days prior to the date of manufacture or import (or 14 days prior to the same date if the annual quantity manufactured or imported is 100 kg or more but less than 1 ton).
