South Korea to update the list of biocidal substances eligible for grace period given under K-BPR approval system

On May 26, 2023, the National Institute of Environmental Research (NIER) of South Korea announced that it would add four biocidal substances to and eliminate three ones from the list of substances eligible for grace period of approval given under the K-BPR scheme. On the same day, the NIER published a draft amendment to the existing notification “Designation of Existing Biocidal Substances Eligible for Deferred Approval” (NIER Notice No. 2023-264), which outlines the above details.
