On April 10, 2023, the 2050 Carbon Neutral Green Growth Committee discussed and approved the draft of the First National Master Plan for Carbon Neutrality and Green Growth (hereinafter the "master plan") at its third plenary meeting of 2023. The master plan is the highest-level statutory plan expressing the Yoon Suk Yeol administration's will and policy direction for carbon neutrality and green growth. The committee also discussed with companies and research institutions on ways to energize the CCUS industry and promote CCUS-related technological innovation as a primary means to reduce national greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
